The grand hotel (also referred to as 'the white palace') is an exquisite 5 victorian hotel which was built in 1875 and the only 5 seaside hotel in england. Many great names have graced this hotel and enjoyed the amazing views over this impressive stretch of coastline, including winston churchill, charlie chaplin and the composer debussy, who wrote his symphony 'la mer' here in 1905.

There are seven grades of accommodation to cater for everyone's needs. They range from deluxe and executive rooms and move through to suites and the ultimate penthouse suite.
All rooms feature splendid en suite facilities, robes, molton brown toiletries, hairdryer, trouser press, satellite tv, broadband internet access, direct dial telephone with voicemail and digital clock radio.
The grand hotel comes highly recommended with the two red aa rosette awards and four rac dining awards to it's name. The garden restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serves traditional english cuisine. The mirabelle restaurant, open from tuesday to saturday inclusive, has been awarded 2 aa rosettes and offers a more modern, european menu (the restaurants do not operate a dress code, however most guests choose smart casual or formal wear). The afternoon tea at the grand is an absolute must!
