What is your favourite Clothing Brand?

Woman all around the world love to identify with successful woman. The big business ideas, the kitchen or sewing room start-ups, you name it, woman have made their own brands stand out in many ways.

Here are a few women who have made it big in modern day society.  Sara Blakely – Spandex, Denise Coats – BET365, Sofia Vergara, yes not just a pretty face, but a great actress too – EBY underwear.

And let’s not forget the old-style brand of Chanel. A brand that has truly stood the test of time. Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel, with her trademark suits and little black dresses. Fashion designer Coco Chanel created timeless designs that are still popular today. She got her name Coco from the time she performed in clubs. Around the age of 20, Chanel became involved with Etienne Balsan, who offered to help her start a millinery business in Paris. Opening her first shop on Paris's Rue Cambon in 1910, Chanel started out selling hats. She later added stores in Deauville and Biarritz and began making clothes. She launched her first perfume, Chanel No. 5, which was the first to feature a designer’s name. Perfume “is the unseen, unforgettable, ultimate accessory of fashion, that heralds your arrival and prolongs your departure,” Chanel once explained.

Style never goes out of fashion.

Wearing brand named clothes have more to do with comfort, fit and the all-important durability. Branded clothing lasts from one season to the next, year on year.  Style never goes out the door, it presents itself as your signature. The way you display confidence in yourself. Don’t we look the part when we feel the part? You feel great, when you look great.

Often, we can only afford one great pair of shoes. You take special care of them and keep them in a special place in the closet. Same goes for that handbag you have been eyeing out for years. Giving a woman an admired branded handbag is like giving gold. Nothing comes close to it or compares.

The same goes for an expensive perfume as the scent of a woman is often her personal touch; a way to be remembered every time a man thinks of her.

The DKNY brand, while successful, was never considered 'true' luxury. It sits in a middle of the luxurious brand ranks, being classed as something called 'accessible luxury'. Donna Karan, an American designer who was internationally acclaimed for the simplicity and comfort of her clothes started a career in fashion at the age of 14 when she lied about her age to secure a job selling clothes in a boutique.

Mary Quant, born in Blackheath, London, was an influential ’60s designer. She not only made the miniskirt famous, but she wore it exceedingly well herself, popularising the short length all over the world. Several designers have been credited with the invention of the 1960s miniskirt, most significantly the London-based designer Mary Quant and the Parisian André Courrèges. Although Quant reportedly named the skirt after her favourite make of car, the Mini, there is no consensus as to who designed it first.

The thing about branded clothing is that you identify with them. They make you feel good and are often of better quality than those you would find in your average retail store. They suit your personality and style, and esentially make you feel good in wearing them.
